Dear NYSALAS Familia and Partners:
Every student deserves to see themselves reflected in the classrooms where they learn. Every future educator deserves someone who believes in their potential, often before they fully see it themselves.
On behalf of the NYSALAS Board of Directors and myself, we reaffirm our shared belief that leadership must be intentional, rooted in purpose, guided by equity, and sustained through collective commitment. When we come together to learn, reflect, and lead with clarity, our collective impact deepens and our communities grow stronger.
Join Us This April
This April, NYSALAS invites you to be part of a powerful two-day experience designed to empower leaders who are prepared to make thoughtful decisions, take courageous action, and remain steadfast in advancing equity and opportunity for all students.
An evening dedicated to honoring exceptional Latino and Latina high school seniors pursuing careers in bilingual education. These scholars represent promise, resilience, and the future—reminding us why intentional leadership matters.
A full day focused on purpose-driven leadership, intentional practice, and collective efficacy. Designed for educators and administrators committed to aligning their actions to their values and sustaining meaningful change.
Together, these two events reflect the heart of NYSALAS: lifting student voices, strengthening leadership pipelines, and staying the course in service of our communities.
Your presence affirms more than participation. It affirms commitment. It affirms intentionality. You are not simply attending an event:
- You are investing in futures.
- You are strengthening leadership with purpose.
- You are choosing to #StayTheCourse.
We look forward to welcoming you this April as we continue this work, together, with clarity, purpose, and collective resolve.
